New collar
I am now 15 weeks old and weigh 10.3kg. I have outgrown my first collar and so Mum took me to the pet shop in the village today for a new one - a size 3. I really liked the lady in the pet shop - she gave me a gravy bone!

A family outing
I have been going out with Dad for short walks to get used to different places and walking on my lead. To begin with it was just me and Dad, then me, Dad and Duggie, but yesterday Mum came too, and so did Fergus and Max. It was great fun and I felt very grown-up!

A busy weekend
Yesterday I went to a Garden Fete, held to raise money for our local church. I met lots of people and children, and watched them playing games like racing pigs and skittle ball. I would have liked a job retrieving the skittle balls!
Today I went to training class again. We did the same things as last week, but then, instead of just watching I did some extra stuff. I went inside the big hut with Dad and a young black labrador and her Dad. We were allowed off our leads inside to play - great fun! Then we went outside again on our leads and did some walking and sitting!
After coffee break (that's coffee for Mum & Dad, water for me!) I did some retrieves for Mum and then had a run around with Fergus. Then I watched Fergus and some of the other dogs do the agility course - that looks great fun, but apparently I can't have a go at that until I am bigger and older.
After a final rush around with the English Springers it was time to head home to a shady spot in the garden....

Gardening
I have been busy 'helping' in the garden this week. Mum has had LOTS of jobs to do in the vegetable plot...... I just don't know how she would have managed without my help!!!!!
I now know the names of all the vegetables....... and I also learned that when you are in trouble for trampling down the carrots, the best place to hide is between the peas and sweetcorn!!!

Hello to my foreign friends
I started my blog just over a month ago and it has already been visited by people from the United States, Germany, Greece, Finland, New Zealand, Switzerland, Canada, France and of course the United Kingdom! Wow - that's a lot of places. I hope you have enjoyed reading it and a special "hello, hallo, γειά σου, hei, bonjour" to you all!

My first training class
Today I went to Grimoldby and Manby Dog Training Club for the first time. Fergus and Max have been lots of times and have passed their Kennel Club Good Citizen awards there. Anyway, enough of them, back to me....... There were lots of dogs, of all colours, shapes and sizes, but I was by far the youngest, smallest and most handsome!
First, I made friends with the other spaniels, all English Springers, Fidget, Frisbee, Jasper and Jiffy, then all the dogs and their humans went for a group walk. I joined in this, and walked between 2 West Highland Terriers who were very friendly and made me feel safe. Next, we all stood with our human in a long line and took it in turns to walk past everyone else.
After that, the other dogs split into groups and took turns to do obedience and agility, but I just watched as by then I was quite tired. Everyone said I had done really well and Dad was very pleased with me.
I can't wait to go again!

My first holiday
I have just returned home from my first trip away in the caravan - and what a FANTASTIC time I had! We went to the National Forest, a super place for dogs. The campsite seemed HUGE, and I was a little over-awed when we first arrived, but I soon settled down and made lots of new friends.
In no particular order the best bits were:
Uncle Michael took the following photos of me......
I can't wait until we go away again! I wonder when it will be and where????
In no particular order the best bits were:
- Aunty Sandra's homemade treats (YUMMY!)
- Meeting my Welshie 'cousins' Murphy, Merlin, Milly and Plover for the first time
- Meeting Uncle Michael, Aunty Sue and Aunty Elspeth for the first time
- Playing with Berwick and Linnet (my brother and sister)
- Going to the pub for lunch (apparently it is very important that gundogs learn to do this!)
Uncle Michael took the following photos of me......

1 week to go!
I am 11 weeks old today which means I just have one more week to wait before I can go out 'for real.' I can't wait, and neither can Mum! We went into the village again today and she said I am getting too heavy to carry. What a cheek!
Actually, she might have a point as I am getting heavier:
